Maxwell is a rising 5th-year MSML student at Carnegie Mellon University, with an undergraduate degree from CMU in artificial intelligence and discrete mathematics. He has worked on machine learning projects for his first three summers, working with a data science team at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles his freshman summer, followed by ML research teams at Meta for his next two summers. Maxwell has also worked on machine learning research at CMU. He previously worked on theoretical machine learning with Prof. Nina Balcan and currently works with Prof. Jun-Yan Zhu on generative models. Maxwell is a leader in the CMU community, where he has TAd for introductory discrete math/theoretical CS courses, participated in AI panels, and TAd AI high school classes offered by CMU.
