Victoria Dean is a rising 5th-year PhD student in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Professor Abhinav Gupta. She works on exploration and task transfer in reinforcement learning and robotics. She is a 2020 recipient of the NSF GRFP. In Fall 2021, she interned with Professor Doina Precup at DeepMind Montreal. She completed her B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering at MIT in 2017. She has worked as a researcher and software engineer at Waymo, Deep Genomics, Counsyl, Google, and Coursera.
