Karan Ahuja works at the intersection of sensing, machine learning, and human-computer interaction. He is particularly interested in ubiquitous and unobtrusive sensing that can power novel interactive capabilities spanning domains such as health monitoring, activity recognition, and context-aware computing. He has been committed to these topics since 2013 when he was an undergraduate researcher at IIT Guwahati. Karan has also worked and collaborated with IBM Research, Microsoft Research, Apple AI and Facebook Reality Labs. To date, Karan has published over 20 papers at top venues in Human-Computer Interaction and his research has been covered by media outlets including TechCrunch, Engadget, NPR, Fast Company, Collegiate Inventors Competition and ScienceDaily, among others.
